Overall 8th Place in the A.I.P.S Sport Media Awards 2019 in the “Sport Action” photo category, amongst the best in global sports media.
In July 2019, Domenic Aquilina was again judged and awarded with the prestigious “Sports Photographer of the Year 2019” award for the third year running at the 29th edition of the Malta Journalism Awards night.
June 2018 saw Aquilina judged with 1st Place and the Outstanding Achievement award at the 11th edition of the International Color Awards in California, USA with his Basketball capture “Basket!”
In May 2018 Domenic Aquilina was again judged and awarded with the prestigious “Sports Photographer of the Year 2018” award at the 28th edition of the Malta Journalism Awards night held at The Palace in Sliema.
May 2017 saw Domenic Aquilina awarded with the prestigious “Sports Photographer of the Year 2017” award at the 27th edition of the Malta Journalism Awards night held at The Palace in Sliema.
In April 2017, Domenic featured in a testimonial feature for Vodafone Malta about Ready Business solutions – entitled “Domenic is a Ready Business”
