Domenic Aquilina is the only Maltese photographer to have participated in thirteen UEFA Champions League Finals to date.
“A UEFA Champions League final always carries that special magic with it no matter what – so all of them have been in some way or another very exciting. If I had to choose though I would go for the 2005 edition at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul, with Liverpool edging it over AC Milan over the penalty shoot-out with the two teams locked 3-3 after the first 90 minutes and extra-time” Domenic recalls.
