Aquilina named Sports Photographer of the Year 2012 in London

Last Sunday, January 15th, 2012 at the Novotel Hotel in London, Domenic was officially announced as the winner of the "Sport General Photographer of the Year 2011" category. during the SWPP Photographic Convention Gala Awards Night dinner.

This category includes all the "Sport General" images submissions throughout the monthly competitions of this highly recognised photographic event in the United Kingdom under the auspices of the SWPP - a highly recognised Photographic Society in the United Kingdom.

These prestigious awards gets the annual SWPP Convention in London to a closure, a convention which gets more than 100 professional photographic speakers from all over the world to speak over various photographic topics, together with the annual trade show which includes all the high end photographic brands in promoting their products during this four day big photo event at in London.

Aquilina made part of the Malta group, all members of the Malta Institute of Professional Photographers, led by president Kevin Casha. The Malta team managed to scoop no less than eleven awards in various categories during the gala dinner Awards night on Sunday.

Big thank you to the organisers who for the second year running invited yet again the Maltese photographer to give a "Masterclass" talk/presentation on "Sports Photography" during the Convention.

"I would like to thank everyone, in particular my family who have always supported me, and all of you friends and media colleagues who have also supported me in my work. This award is a very special attribute to my work" stated Domenic after collecting his award
